On September 4th, the Academy of Happiness LeapKids officially opened its doors – a preschool educational institution of a full day of a completely new format for Ukraine, located on the territory of the living complex Novopecherskie Lipky, in Pechersk.
The LeapKids educational project brings together new approaches in child upbringing and development, advanced teaching techniques, a team of professional teachers, as well as biotechnology and energy-efficient solutions for building and space planning. But, despite the diversity of occupations, the Academy’s key approach is “the right of every child to have a happy childhood.”
In total, the Academy of Happiness LeapKids is designed for 189 children: 12 groups of 15 people each. Half a day, small students of the Academy spend with a Ukrainian-speaking tutor, and the rest of the day – with English-speaking one. Therefore, learning a foreign language is natural and easy. English-language space at the Academy of Happiness is created by a specially designed methodology of the British Council teachers.
The LeapKids team – teachers, psychologists, speech therapists, nutritionists, chefs, medical staff, maintenance and administration – high level people, that love what they do, and do not stop at improving their skills. Similarly, in the process of work there is an active dialogue: the child-parents-teacher-psychologist.
There is a 5-time eating schedule for children, made of eco-products and lactose dairy products as needed. Separately, there is also a gluten-free and vegetarian menu. After cooking in the kindergarden’s own kitchen, every kid gets his portion in an airtight individual thermobox, which makes contact of food by the staff impossible.
Creating such institutions for young generation of Ukrainians is not a tribute to fashion, but a necessity. In this project, from the outset, we laid up a modern concept, the latest material and technical solutions and technologies, and purposefully worked on creating a better product on the market. We strongly believe, that both the small students of the Academy and their parents will appreciate the institution of a new format, and hence will not want to go home), – commented Sergey Perchak, director of the development company of the full cycle City One Development.
