On June 15-th, a kindergarten of a new format – LeapKids Preschool Education Academy, which is located on the territory of RC Novopecherskie Lipki, opened it’s doors for visitors.
Already in early September this year, the Academy of Happiness will start its work for their little students. The project was developed by a full cycle company City One Development, which is just during 1.5 years implemented unusual and innovative from architectural point of view as well as from engineering project in Kiev. The project combines new techniques and methods of upbringing of children, the team of progressive teachers, as well as biotechnological and energy efficient solutions in construction and planning of space.
LeapKids is the first project in Ukraine, in construction of which modern and energy efficient solutions have been applied. The building is equipped with sunpower batteries, with the help of which the heating of water and energy saving occurs. Thanks to the system “smart house”, there is a technical possibility to create a separate climatic zone in each kindergarten group. A system of passive cooling “cold ceiling” is installed, as well as geothermal heat of the earth is used – in the kindergarden area there are 43 wells that are joined in technical room of the building. By using this source the rooms are heated which allows the kindergarten to be completely autonomous from the power grid of the city.
LeapKids was originally put-up as a fundamentally new educational format of the project in the country. A project that can raise the system of preschool development at a higher level, asking for new standards. This will be supported by an innovative material and technical base, as well as by the best practice of teaching preschoolers, which have been successfully intregrated into the program of child development. LeapKids is ready to accept 192 children aged from 2 to 6 years. Now the final preparations for the official opening on September 4-th take place in kindergarten.
